5 Things I’m LOVING right now

You may have noticed I’ve been a bit quiet on the ol’ blogging front, I felt a bit ‘meh’ about it for a while (ok nearly all of September) but after giving myself a shake, reading some inspiring blogs and playing about with my Olympus Pen, I’m back.

I thought about coming back with an intense life post but these ‘favourites’ type posts are the ones I love to read, so here, an easy read for you which may leave your bank balance a bit lighter by the end, soz not soz.

Pixi Skintreats Glow Tonic

I KNOW, I’m so late to the party as usual with this one but OMG. This stuff is like actual magic. After my holiday in August, my skin needed a bit of a pick me up. So perusing my local M&S I spied the much loved among bloggers Pixi Glow Tonic and thought YES, now is the time to try this. I bought it in the smaller size (which is v handy for travelling with just FYI) which was just £10. I’m being completely serious when I say I noticed a difference the first time I used it. It’s an exfoliating toner with 5% glycolic acid, aloe vera and ginseng which evens skin tone, and removes dead skin cells leaving your skin radiant and glowing! I think this is going to be very much needed during autumn/winter when skin can become a bit dull. Definitely a repurchase on the cards for this one.

Chris Carter books

If you like horror/crime/thrillers then you need these books in your life. I read the latest addition ‘The Caller’ in one day. Every book is like a gory horror film and I cannot put them down. I’m currently whizzing through my 6th one- The Executioner and it is living up to the rest of them. Chris Carter was a criminal psychologist and worked on over 100 cases involving horrific crimes, mostly serial killers and murders- so his writing, although fictional, is so in depth and captivating that every page grips me. Good news- there’s a new book coming early next year and I can’t wait to get my hands on it!

B&M Candles

B&M stores are great for so many things, but my latest top buy from them has to be these ‘Bath and Body Works’ style candles. If you’re like me and lust after the B&BW Autumn collection of candles then these might just keep you going until you get your hands on the real thing. The Marshmallow Fireside smells sweet and warming like Autumnal cooking on a cold day…perfection. The other candle I swiftly added to my basket is a Halloween version- I love the decorative lids on these, plus it also smells incredible so what’s not to like?

The Collective Dairy Yoghurts

To say I have an obsession with these yoghurts is a bit of an understatement. I got through the 6 pictured in just over a week. Not ideal for the waistline but SO EFFING GOOD. They are BY FAR the creamiest perfectly balanced yoghurts I’ve ever had. I mean, you could be asking yourself ‘seriously, how long can someone go on about yoghurt for? It’s just yoghurt’. Oh no my friend, try one and then come back to me. And yes, the mango flavour is the best.

Lush Sleepy Body Lotion

Now, I wasn’t 100% sure on including this because in all honesty, the smell does nothing for me. It smells quite oaty (?) and it is a bit overpowering, however I LOVE the effect of it. Straight away I felt calmer and more relaxed after applying this after a hot bath. Was it the bath that relaxed me? Maybe. But I have since used this on a lazy evening where I didn’t bath beforehand and I still felt equally as relaxed afterwards so, y’know. I would love for this to smell more lavender/spa like. If you’ve been umming and ahhing about this product I’d say go for it- it’s good for the self care evenings after a long work day.

What have you been loving lately? Let me know if you pick up anything I’ve mentioned and urgh, its Sunday so have a good week!
