I don’t know about you, but when a new season approaches, I like to buy new homeware to reflect it. It’s basically an excuse for me to buy more homeware. I feel like Spring/Summer is when you need to brighten the room up and generally attempt to come out of the cosiness of throws and candles that is Autumn/Winter (however hard that may be!)
So I have been in search of some new pieces that can ‘summer up’ my living room as well as some classic pieces that can stay out all year round.
I ventured out to my local Homesense and was blown away by the summer-y items they have in their stores at the moment! A lot of it is aimed at al-fresco dining which is incredible for those weekend BBQ’s but there are also some key pieces which can be used inside.
I firstly picked up this cute flower garden, as I have been trying to keep more plants indoors (failing massively as most just die- poor things- seriously if anyone has any tips throw ’em my way!).
It comes with everything you need, bulbs, compost and the tin- failsafe you might say!
It is perfect to sit on the windowsill and will bring some much needed colour into the room when they (hopefully) bloom!
Speaking of plants- I also picked up this pot with stand to fulfil my never-ending copper obsession! I have put my Aloe Vera plant in it and I love the way it looks now!
It is currently residing in my living room and I’ve styled it alongside a copper photo frame and a print of NYC with a cute quote.
I have a new obsession with fun drinking glasses and the ones in Homesense are so perfect for summer! I picked up 2 of these ‘Hello Summer’ glasses to go with my new flamingo ones ready to serve ice cold cocktails in while sunbathing in the garden!
Lastly I picked up this pretty decorative piece. To be honest it was an impulse buy as I had no idea what I was going to do with it, but it caught my eye and I had seen similar version in Next at double the price so I decided to grab it quick!
It is from the Passport to India range which has some gorgeous pieces which are a little different and all at incredible prices.
At the moment I it is sitting on the floor next to the TV with a candle plonked in it (this is about as imaginative I get). But it looks pretty and I have had lots of people round who have commented on it.
I snapped some photos of other lovely items which are available in store at the moment which includes lots of flamingoes…yas! As well as plenty of blogger faves such as their fabulous faux flower range and pretty flatlay accessories.
Find your local Homesense store and give them a visit, maybe after payday because I guarantee you’re going to want all the things!
This is a sponsored post but all views on delightful homeware are my own.
