Last Thursday, I was invited along to a foodie event in Chelmsford. All I knew was that there was going to be lots of amazing flavours involved as the catering company who were showcasing their food were Island Stories. Island Stories is co-founded by Ikram Naim and Devon Ricketts who are both from glorious faraway shores (Sri Lanka & Barbados) and who came together to bring an incredible fusion of cultural influences to food here in the UK. It’s happened, I’ve succumbed to the festive delights on offer already. When December hits all intentions of eating properly get thrown out of the beautifully lit window and I find myself saying “let’s have a buffet for dinner”. Said buffet usually consists of ALL the christmassy food and not much veg.
