Let’s get this out there in the first sentence of this post; I SUCK at gardening. Let me give you an example. About 3 years ago, I ordered some plants for the garden. They arrived not as I imagined (already blooming and gorgeous) but like twigs that my dog would pick up on a woodland walk. So utterly confused, I left them outside and forgot about them. Weeks later, after some impressive frost I discovered them again and only one plant looked reasonably alive. So I binned the others and planted the survivor. I was convinced it was an Iris. It remained ‘twig like’ for 2 years with a couple of leaves the second year before getting snapped by some strong wind…as I said, I suck at gardening! This year it bloomed like never before and EVEN HAD A TINY BUD ON IT. Cue all the excitement. So around a… View Post

If you’re anything like me, you’ll be the type of person who is forever looking for new kinds of food to try. I’m not someone who will stick to one type of food when looking for somewhere to brunch with friends or dine on date night. I enjoy finding something different, something with new flavours and dishes and also somewhere that’s Instagrammable is an absolute plus. Well Turtle Bay in Colchester covers all of this! I attended the opening of this restaurant a few months ago where we got to try some samples from the menu which were all amazing so this time I decided to drag my friend Tarnya along with me to try some dishes of our choice. We started the only way you should in Turtle Bay…with Cocktails. Lucky for us it was happy hour and we got 2 for 1 on each of our drinks. I… View Post

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and if you’re looking for something a bit special for your loved one, a friend or even yourself…I got you. Valentine’s Day is one of those times where you either throw yourself all in or you don’t bother. I’ve always been a throw it all in kinda girl- even going back to school when I made the boy I liked in the year below a card and left it on his desk. My levels of sassiness even at that age was something to behold. So it’s no surprise I’m a Valentine’s Day fan. Although we never go for the full on Valentine’s Day dinner and love hearts everywhere, it’s nice to do something cute and fun. My idea this year involves stacks of pancakes and champagne for breakfast- and who doesn’t love that?! I have wanted a breakfast in bed tray for a… View Post

It’s November, it’s cold and the jumpers are officially back in the wardrobe as a winter staple! If you’re looking for a jumper with a twist, a bit of sparkle or just want to feel snug as a bug, then don’t worry- I got you! I have trawled the shops for the cosiest sassiest jumpers, so you don’t have to, and as of publishing this post, they are all still available in store/online. Thank me later. Spoiler: 3 out of 4 involve pearls First up, we have the jumper I’m most obsessed with at the moment. I’m all about the pearl embellishment right now so as soon as I saw this, I fell in love. It is SUPER soft and not at all itchy which let’s face it, can be a major issue with chunky jumpers. I love the bell sleeve details and as it’s slightly oversized, it just envelopes… View Post

IT’S OCTOBER!  Only my favourite month of the year- along with every other absolute basics.  October comes and it’s like all of a sudden it turns into actual Autumn. My current Autumn wishlist is pretty long, as is my ASOS saved items list, and is a combination of everything I need for the new season .  1. The chunky knit jumpers I purchased one of these jumpers from New Look over the weekend and oh my..I now need it in every colour. It is the perfect knit and I love the detail at the back. Not to mention it comes in berry and mustard which are the ultimate Autumn colours!  2. Autumn… View Post
