I feel like I am probably the only person in the world who has this opinion but I CAN’T STAND MATTE LIPSTICKS. There, I said it.  I have found around 3 matte lipsticks I can actually bare wearing and they are by Mac, Charlotte Tilbury and Chanel. I constantly have dry lips despite drinking gallons of water and applying lip balm by the bucket load so matte lipsticks do not work for me.  Going to sound like the worst blogger now, but i haven’t actually purchased a new lipstick in about 6 months (oh, the horror). Once I find a lip product I love, I find it difficult to move away from it and try something new. Lately it’s been a mix of Charlotte Tilbury’s Bitch Perfect and Mac’s Peach Blossom- ultimate old faves! BUT, I had a trip to my local Boots after work this week to pick up… View Post

IS IT ACTUALLY SUMMER?  Who knows, one minute its so hot I feel like my face is melting and the next, it’s grey and rainy..England huh!  Either way I am ALL about that summer shopping right now. It’s two weeks until we break up from work for summer (high five teachers) and I am so looking forward to having some time to myself to refocus. In all honesty, the last few weeks have been a struggle! It has been a long term at work, and a busy one preparing all our school leavers for their next step alongside some personal worries and it has resulted in me feeling tired, worn out and a little overwhelmed at times.  BUT the holidays are in sight and we have a little trip to Kos to look forward to along with some days out planned and I’m SO READY FOR IT.  Let’s talk summer… View Post

Oh hi there, it’s been a while, right?! Soz for it all being quiet on the blog front, I decided to take (most of) January as a break from writing and general blog happenings. More of that later, but first, what better way to come back than with a little Lush faves hey?  Have to admit, i spent a while in Lush sniffing all of their new releases for Valentines day and these three were the ones that stood out for me.  Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar Back this year is the popular Unicorn Horn, not only is it super pretty and totally instagrammable it also smells incredible. With lavender oil to relax and neroli oil which apparently helps “increase serotonin levels in the brain which makes you feel contented”. YES LUSH. I used this last night in my bath and legit didn’t want to get out of it (until the water… View Post

Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, likes, favs, followers, chats and so much more. We are the most connected we have ever been thanks to the wonderful world of the Internet. I love social media and the Internet as much as the next human but I can’t help but feel we have got far too reliant on it! Think about this; what is the last thing you do before going to sleep? The first thing you do when you wake up? When you go for breakfast and your food arrives, what do you do first?  You Instagram that babin’ plate of avo & eggs, because that’s what we do these days.  My thoughts on a ‘digital detox’ first came to me when I was binge watching ‘Friends’ (a standard day). I noticed that even in the later episodes, where mobile phones were around, there were none in sight. The friends all sat… View Post

I recently got the opportunity to attend an exciting event at Intu Lakeside.  Their ‘Everyone’s Invited’ event consisted of a whole weekend of fun and entertainment.  Some of the Essex Bloggers and I got to go along and experience some VIP treatment. When we arrived we were shown to our exclusive festival themed ‘bloggers hub’ complete with mocktail bar and sweetie cart as well as demonstrations from the lovely ladies from Lush Lakeside and The Body Shop.  We were then whisked off to meet Reggie ‘N Bollie (XFactor Runners Up) who were performing on the Everyone’s Invited stage later that afternoon. After a quick hello and a cheeky photo we wished them luck with their performance and headed back downstairs for a Peachy Blinder mocktail! We had the opportunity to watch Reggie N’ Bollies performance which was brilliant and we all enjoyed singing (and dancing!) along to the songs.  We… View Post
