Warning: this post contains detailed chat about bowel movements so if you’re sensitive to that, maybe scroll on past to the next post!  There are hundreds of invisible illnesses that people suffer from on a daily basis from mental health to chronic pain all dehibilitating to the person in question and all life changing to some extent. For me, this invisible illness is Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). IBS is a bowel condition which affects 1 in 5 of us, meaning that no doubt, someone close to you also suffers.  The symptoms range from mild stomach pains to full on cramps, and either constipation or the complete opposite. In my case, it presents itself as severe contraction like cramps with accompanied diarrhoea which tends to either leave me vomiting from the pain or even passing out.  As with many invisible illnesses, there is no cure. IT’S OCTOBER!  Only my favourite month of the year- along with every other absolute basics.  October comes and it’s like all of a sudden it turns into actual Autumn. Leaves start to fall, conkers appear on the ground and YES I CAN FINALLY LIGHT ALL THE AUTUMNAL CANDLES! Let’s not even discuss that it’s also when the queen of autumn beverages becomes available in Starbucks..love you PSL. My current Autumn wishlist is pretty long, as is my ASOS saved items list, and is a combination of everything I need for the new season .  1. The chunky knit jumpers I purchased one of these jumpers from New Look over the weekend and oh my..I now need it in every colour. It is the perfect knit and I love the detail at the back. You may have noticed I’ve been a bit quiet on the ol’ blogging front, I felt a bit ‘meh’ about it for a while (ok nearly all of September) but after giving myself a shake, reading some inspiring blogs and playing about with my Olympus Pen, I’m back.  I thought about coming back with an intense life post but these ‘favourites’ type posts are the ones I love to read, so here, an easy read for you which may leave your bank balance a bit lighter by the end, soz not soz.  Pixi Skintreats Glow Tonic I KNOW, I’m so late to the party as usual with this one but OMG. I have been trying to write this post for an absolute age but honestly, my health kind of took a back seat in July which is 100% NOT okay! I struggled to eat well, exercise and generally felt run down and bleugh!  I think it was that end of term feeling, and as I’ve said before, summer term is always a busy and full on one- so now the holidays are here, I get to spend time on myself and do things I just didn’t have the energy for a few weeks ago.  Writing I am making time to do what interests me and what relaxes me, so writing and photography are right up there! I have mainly spent this first week of the holidays relaxing, cleaning the house, binge watching Netflix originals and cuddling the dogs but everyday I felt this pang of sadness that I wasn’t making time… View Post

Oh, hi! I know, an actual new post! It is now the summer holidays for me which means I might actually be able to concentrate on writing (and sleeping) for a little while- yay  I recently shared a post where I chatted briefly about body image and summer clothing, mainly about how hard I find it to find something comfortable but also (reasonably) stylish and flattering. I searched high and low across the inter-webs and honestly, it was ridiculously hard to find something I actually liked.  Enter Boohoo and this floral dreamboat. Now, I am by NO means a fashion blogger (lols to taking these photos on my driveway and being super awks whenever anyone walked past and can we just discuss how hard it is taking photos using a tripod and timer!), If I like something and it fits its generally a winner. OH and sleeves- it needs sleeves! … View Post
