You may have noticed I’ve been a bit quiet on the ol’ blogging front, I felt a bit ‘meh’ about it for a while (ok nearly all of September) but after giving myself a shake, reading some inspiring blogs and playing about with my Olympus Pen, I’m back.  I thought about coming back with an intense life post but these ‘favourites’ type posts are the ones I love to read, so here, an easy read for you which may leave your bank balance a bit lighter by the end, soz not soz.  Pixi Skintreats Glow Tonic I KNOW, I’m so late to the party as usual with this one but OMG. This stuff is like actual magic. After my holiday in August, my skin needed a bit of a pick me up. So perusing my local M&S I spied the much loved among bloggers Pixi Glow Tonic and thought YES,… View Post

Oh hi there, it’s been a while, right?! Soz for it all being quiet on the blog front, I decided to take (most of) January as a break from writing and general blog happenings. More of that later, but first, what better way to come back than with a little Lush faves hey?  Have to admit, i spent a while in Lush sniffing all of their new releases for Valentines day and these three were the ones that stood out for me.  Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar Back this year is the popular Unicorn Horn, not only is it super pretty and totally instagrammable it also smells incredible. With lavender oil to relax and neroli oil which apparently helps “increase serotonin levels in the brain which makes you feel contented”. I recently got the opportunity to attend an exciting event at Intu Lakeside.  Their ‘Everyone’s Invited’ event consisted of a whole weekend of fun and entertainment.  Some of the Essex Bloggers and I got to go along and experience some VIP treatment. When we arrived we were shown to our exclusive festival themed ‘bloggers hub’ complete with mocktail bar and sweetie cart as well as demonstrations from the lovely ladies from Lush Lakeside and The Body Shop.  We were then whisked off to meet Reggie ‘N Bollie (XFactor Runners Up) who were performing on the Everyone’s Invited stage later that afternoon. After a quick hello and a cheeky photo we wished them luck with their performance and headed back downstairs for a Peachy Blinder mocktail! We had the opportunity to watch Reggie N’ Bollies performance which was brilliant and we all enjoyed singing (and dancing!) along to the songs.  We… View Post

Last week I was invited along to Lush Chelmsford for their Halloween and Christmas new product launch. After having Snow Fairy withdrawals for the last 10 months I was especially looking forward to this event! Off I went, armed with a Pumpkin spiced Latte (standard). Wendy and the team talked us through all of the new and returning products and there are A LOT! Like..I’m going to have to find another income to afford all the newness and amazing smelling magical bath treats New for Halloween is this cute bat Shower Jelly called ‘NightWing’ along with the returning ‘Sparkly Pumpkin’ bubble bar and the ‘Lord of Misrule’ bath bomb (my fave!). We then had a look at the many Christmas products…if you are an avid Lush fan…you will NOT be disappointed! A lot of our faves from last year are back along with a whole host of new goodies! On Friday I was lucky enough to be invited to an event at the Lush store in Chelmsford. Beings it was my first event, I was a little nervous but super excited. I was lucky that I was greeted by the lovely Verity of Gingerdollyxo and also met up with Charlotte (withlovelottie) and Hanna (Hannatalks) who were all super nice and made me feel at ease!  When we arrived, we were greeted with coloured candy floss and a selection of green teas    We were then briefed on what the evening would entail, this included experiencing some mini treatments and making our own face mask. I started at the sound station, where we could listen to some of the music they play during treatments, the music was so relaxing and instantly got us in the mood for some treatments!     Next we moved to the facial area, where Charlotte experienced… View Post
