Having less screen time is one of the primary ways I switch off from the world and indulge in a little self care. I’m not sure why it’s taken me so long to discover them, but podcasts seem to have taken over my life and I am now obsessed with finding new ones to listen to- especially if they are Harry Potter or real life crime related! With a range of hands and wire free ways to listen, such as the Panasonic Speaker System which you can stream your music or podcasts straight through for perfectly balanced sound; you can put your phone to one side and get lost in a world which allows you to completely switch off. Potterless Podcast I discovered this podcast after Cherry Wallis raved about it on her Instagram Stories and basically haven’t stopped listening since! Potterless follows twenty-something American Mike Schubert, as he reads… View Post

I have been trying to write this post for an absolute age but honestly, my health kind of took a back seat in July which is 100% NOT okay! I struggled to eat well, exercise and generally felt run down and bleugh!  I think it was that end of term feeling, and as I’ve said before, summer term is always a busy and full on one- so now the holidays are here, I get to spend time on myself and do things I just didn’t have the energy for a few weeks ago.  Writing I am making time to do what interests me and what relaxes me, so writing and photography are right up there! I noticed that even in the later episodes, where mobile phones were around, there were none in sight. The friends all sat… View Post

Life has gone to a really weird place for me right now. My day job is part time, my blogging is part time, I’m married, I’m outgrowing friends and I’m nearly 30. I feel like i’m in a really strange zone at the moment, like i’m not quite fully grown up but i feel like i should be. Honestly, I still don’t know how i want my life to go. I don’t know if my job will be one i do forever, I don’t know where i’m going with my blog or life in general, and it scares me! I guess everyone goes through this stage at some point in your life. You get to a certain age and you start to evaluate your life. Thinking ‘what could i do differently’ or ‘what would make this better?’. I think this has hit me properly since being back from our honeymoon.… View Post
