Being an ultimate blogger cliché, I love new bath and shower products.  Finding something I love however is usually a bit more difficult. I usually stick to Lush for a weekend treat and good ol’ Nivea or Dove shower cream for the week. But now and then I look for something a bit more luxurious, something to make me feel a bit spesh.  Enter Rituals! As I was casually strolling through the Highcross shopping centre in Leicester I spotted the Rituals shop and practically sprinted over, having seen some of their products splashed across Instagram and thinking they looked pretty swish.  It was just after christmas so the shopping centre was rammed but Rituals had a calm, chilled atmosphere which was a nice break from the madness elsewhere! As I started to browse the stunning displays with no clue what I was looking for, a lovely assistant approached us offering… View Post

“Adequate sleep is a key part of a healthy lifestyle and can benefit your heart, weight, mind and more” (Health.com)    And believe me…I love my sleep! Just ask my husband who has before cleaned the whole house on a saturday morning, hoovering and everything while I’ve been like…..zzzzzzzzz!  So why is it that as soon as I decide it’s time to sleep my brain is like ‘OH HEY, HI, LETS THINK ABOUT LIFE AND BILLS AND SOMETHING I’VE JUST REMEMBERED FROM 10 YEARS AGO!’  I have zero problem sleeping…once I’m actually asleep. You may have heard of this little thing called ‘Hygge’ which is sweeping the lifestyle world. You may also be thinking what on earth is it?  Well Hygge (pronounced hue- gah) is the danish way of living. The word roughly translates to ‘cosiness’. That feeling on Christmas Day when your surrounded by people you love, drink in your hand and gathered around the christmas tree…that feeling is Hygge.  The Danish are among the happiest people in Europe according to surveys and people wanted to know why! So journalists took to Denmark to seek out the reasons as to what makes their way… View Post

Yoga has always appealed to me, in the sense that it looked fairly relaxing and is classed as exercise even though it’s not as intense (or exhausting) as a spin class. I’m trying to increase my fitness while losing weight so I’m signing up to more classes at the gym as well as sorting out my nutrition. But Yoga is definitely good for the mind as well as the body. It helps to de-stress and relax you as you breathe through the positions. Here’s what I Learnt from my first Yoga class: What do i wear?: Comfy clothes! I wore loose hareem joggers and a slouchy off shoulder top. In hindsight the top didn’t work out so well as there was a lot of boob flashing during the ‘downward dog’. So I’d probably go for a more fitted top next time. But definitely go for something comfy that will stretch… View Post
