Benefit are a brand I have been buying from for what feels like forever. I always remember when I was in secondary school and a girl in my R.E class pulled out a Benetint, telling us her sister worked for the brand and how good it was. A few years later I was a complete fan.  There are few products I dislike from Benefit and they certainly know how to do a relaunch of old favourites alongside adding exciting new products.  Their newest launch has been a range of concealer including four versions of the Boi-ing classic.  I popped along to my local Fenwicks last week to have my brows done by the babes at the Bene-brow bar and they applied some of the Boi-ing airbrush concealer to me afterwards where my makeup had come off and OH MY.  When Benefit say airbrush, they definitely mean it. My skin looked… View Post

I feel like I am probably the only person in the world who has this opinion but I CAN’T STAND MATTE LIPSTICKS. There, I said it.  I have found around 3 matte lipsticks I can actually bare wearing and they are by Mac, Charlotte Tilbury and Chanel. I constantly have dry lips despite drinking gallons of water and applying lip balm by the bucket load so matte lipsticks do not work for me.  Going to sound like the worst blogger now, but i haven’t actually purchased a new lipstick in about 6 months (oh, the horror). Once I find a lip product I love, I find it difficult to move away from it and try something new. Lately it’s been a mix of Charlotte Tilbury’s Bitch Perfect and Mac’s Peach Blossom- ultimate old faves! BUT, I had a trip to my local Boots after work this week to pick up… View Post

Highlighting, strobing, contouring and now even sandbagging  (….?!) There are plenty of crazes that hit the beauty world but highlighting is definitely one that is here to stay.  The world has gone glow mad and it’s easy to see why. Get it right and you look like a magical mermaid princess from a mystical world, get it wrong and you look, well..it’s easy to go wrong with let’s leave it at that.  I’ve tried a range of highlighters from higher end brands  (anything from Mac to Becca) and budget (such as MUA and Makeup Revolution). While the higher end ones are very good, it’s nice to have cheaper options which do just as good a job, right?  Enter Sleek Makeup and their goddess like ‘Solstice’ Palette.  With 3 powder and 1 cream highlighter this Palette has the right highlighter for everyone.   Ecliptic is the cream highlight with a golden/pink… View Post

I am your typical foodie, obsessed with food, always thinking about my next meal and always trying to be healthy and then being all like yeah this burger/pizza/insert all the food here is immense. So when I was recently given the opportunity to visit a brand new eatery at the Intu Lakeside food court I obviously couldn’t refuse. Stampede* is essentially a burger bar but what they offer in terms of food and quality makes them a cut above the rest! Firstly, their set up in the food hall is pretty special. From the bull made from metal scrap parts to the neon pink signage, you definitely can’t miss them!  Cute jars of pork scratchings on the counter Their brilliant menu consists of burgers, ribs and wings along with a pretty amazing sides selection! The burgers are grilled over charcoal for that amazing bbq taste, meaning everything is freshly prepared and… View Post

I don’t know about you but I am an absolute nightmare for remembering to apply hand cream. Just last week I noticed my cuticles were disgustingly dry and were starting to split! Thankfully the lovely Karen (founder of Seams) got in touch and sent me this wonder hand cream*! Seams’ tag line is ‘Invisible mending for hands and nails’. It was hailed as a ‘backstage beauty hero’ by models and makeup artists at LFW due to its non greasy quick absorbing formula! Seams was originally created for fashion designers to keep their creative hands in tip top condition, so can it combat my dry disgusting cuticles and old lady hands? The hand cream itself is full of amazing ingredients such as Fragonia oil, shea butter, macadamia nut oil, garden cress and keratin…which means it smells incredible! like really good, plus its paraben free…hooray! Not to mention it’s anti ageing… View Post
