Travel: My trip to Paradise aka The Maldives

image

Before i start with a stream of photos from my DREAMY trip to the Maldives i just want to make it clear how lucky i am to have been given the opportunity to visit such paradise. The Maldives is not your average holiday and its purely thanks to my amazing friends and family who gave my husband and I money towards our honeymoon as a wedding gift that we were able to go. I am in no way bragging or showing off just giving you an insight into an amazing place in our beautiful world 🙂

Ok boring disclaimer done.

Sooooo yeah i went to the f-ing Maldives….

Nothing i can say or show you will ever make you understand how perfect this place is…you just have to go.

I mean it is seriously heaven on earth.

The views from the plane as you arrive in Male (the main airport island) are incredible…i teared up quite alot at the sheer beauty of it.

We stayed a 20 minute speedboat ride away from the airport at a lush place called Chaaya Island Dhonveli. A perfect island with pure white sand, crystal clear water and an abundance of underwater life!

On arrival we were gifted some glorious champagne which we drank while totally gobsmacked at the view outside our window.

We stayed in a Jacuzzi Water Villa which faced into the lagoon and had steps down into the sea…which was awesome for snorkelling.

The island itself is full of lush greenery such as palm trees full of coconuts and gorgeous brightly coloured flowers scattered around in bushes.

View of our villa from the stunning beach

We had amazing coconut cocktails on the beach- Malibu, Bacardi, fresh coconut milk and flesh scraped out and pineapple juice all blended with ice and poured back into the coconut…..aaahh life.

Needle fish used to hang around the water villas often!

An angel fish in the harbour taken from above the water!

Random sandbank in the middle of the Indian Ocean

Soooo to sum up, the Maldives is the most beautiful place on earth and i am going to save my arse off to make sure i get to go back one day.

All the holiday blues.
